Elfwerks didn’t start with a business plan, capital injection, or strategy deck. It started with the will to practice and learn to become excellent around these cars — and that learning still continues.

So there is no frills. No fake heritage. Just years of showing up and building.

Born and raised in Jyväskylä, Finland — the rally capital of Northern Europe, home of Ouninpohja and the spirit of Group B. Around here, the sound of sideways cars over blind crests isn’t just nostalgia. It’s DNA.

the Route to Elfwerks

My name is Juuso Suonio — I’m the guy who started Elfwerks.

The initial plan wasn’t necessarily to end up here. It was the machines and the dreams that brought me — and I’m glad they did.

Back in the mid-2000s, as a teenager, I got to hang around people with Audis and Volkswagens. That slowly turned into a love affair with Golfs.

In 2009, I bought my first car — a Golf GTI I still own today. Since then, it’s been a long road of tools, late nights, and hard decisions, following the dream of becoming a builder — and eventually, working with Porsches.

Elfwerks wasn’t built overnight, and it certainly wasn’t built on purpose.

It was just something that had to happen.
